Veteran Housing and Support Services

The men and women who served this country should never have to fight for a place to sleep when they come home. But veteran homelessness is a real and persistent crisis. Many veterans return from service carrying invisible wounds — PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, depression, and anxiety — that make reintegration into civilian life incredibly difficult. Without the right support system they can spiral quickly into unemployment, substance use, and homelessness.

These are people who gave everything. Hope Forward Foundation believes they deserve everything in return.

Veterans in our program may qualify for housing assistance through the HUD-VASH program — a federal voucher program through HUD and the VA that covers housing costs for eligible veterans. That is a powerful resource. But like every government program it has gaps.

Your donations fund the support that HUD-VASH does not cover — the human side of recovery and reintegration:
